Support the platform
IndiaAbroad.org provides and maintains the shared platform. The community itself belongs to the people who participate in it. Contributions help us keep access open, protect privacy, support volunteers, and extend local connections to more places.
Giving is entirely optional. It does not create membership, and it does not place anyone above anyone else.
Operated by Maxsys International Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity. Contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Support the Platform
Keeping access open, private, and local.
What your contribution maintains
- Open access. Hosting and bandwidth, so taking part stays free and nobody is asked to pay to belong.
- Privacy and safety work. Keeping email addresses private, maintaining the common safety rules, and running the route for reporting content.
- More localities. Extending local connection to smaller towns, islands and rural areas, not only large cities.
- Support for volunteers. The tools local volunteers use to help keep public content within the community standards.
What your contribution is not
India Abroad does not provide emergency aid, legal or immigration advice, housing, or financial assistance, and a contribution does not buy any of those. It is not an emergency service and does not replace local authorities or a qualified professional. What it funds is the platform people use to find each other locally.
Other ways to help
Money is one way. It is not the most important one.
Be present where you live
Answer a question from someone nearby, share something useful about your locality, or tell one person that this exists. Local presence is what makes the platform worth anything.
Get in touchYour employer may match a gift
Many companies match employee contributions to a registered 501(c)(3). If yours does, the same gift goes twice as far toward keeping the platform open.
How organisations take partGive your time
Volunteers help keep public content within the community standards in their own locality. It is a responsibility, not a rank, and it carries no authority over anyone.
